Submissions overview

Submitting a paper to TE2024

Most attendees at TE2024 will submit a paper for presentation or poster at the conference.

Stage 1: Abstract submission - NOW CLOSED (each year this is usually with a deadline in late January)

Abstracts are a maximum 250 words and we ask you to use a specific format (see guidance and template)

Stage 2: Full paper submission - NOW CLOSED (each year this is usually with a deadline in late March)

Papers are a maximum 10 pages long including references. These follow a similar format to the abstract meaning the total word length of your paper will be about 5000 words. A dummy paper template and style guide is available (see guidance and template)

Stage 3: Camera-ready submission for proceedings - date TBC

This is about ensuring your paper is ready for the print publication - papers need strictly to adhere to the template

Stage 4: Oral presentation or poster at conference - 9th-11th July 2024

For accepted submissions you will either do an oral presentation or present a poster - please use the guidance for these (forthcoming).

Stage 5 (optional): Submission of your paper to an academic journal special issue

Some of the papers will be invited to submit a full academic article for special issues in key TE journals.

For guidance on these submissions styles and approaches see the Guidance and Templates page.
